Boody offers a deep product range all available in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors. With such a large catalog to scroll through, online shoppers struggled to quickly find the products that best suited their individual needs.
The company needed more powerful search, merchandising, and personalization tools to improve the product discovery journey and give merchandisers greater flexibility over the site.
They also desired the ability to add custom filters and sorts to collection pages, giving their shoppers a fast path to narrowing down the search — and, ultimately leading to quick conversions.
The Solutions
After a recommendation from their digital agency, Elephant Room, Boody partnered with Searchspring to integrate the full suite of products across their 3 domains (AU, EU, and NZ).
They quickly leveraged Searchspring’s advanced merchandising features like boost rules, product pinning, and banners to optimize the layout of products on-site. Automated rules ensured that new releases, best sellers, and in-stock items were always moved to the top of collections and search results — giving their merchandising team back precious time.
Boody also added filter options like fit, coverage, gender, and more, to enable shoppers that were looking for specific items to navigate the online store with ease and efficiency.
Along with their internal merchandising processes, the on-site search experience was completely revamped. With autocomplete enabled, shoppers could see a list of suggestions as they typed in the search bar, leading them to the most relevant predictions before they even finished typing.
Personalized product recommendations were also added on the home page, product detail pages, no-results pages, and more. This meant that Boody could serve shoppers relevant products to also consider purchasing based on their previous shopping behaviors.
