THE BRAND

UTV Source is a leading provider of aftermarket parts and accessories for UTVs. From the biggest brands to the most niche performance parts that you can’t find anywhere else, they specialize in providing everything you need to get the most out of your UTV – and stand out from the rest.

THE PARTNER

Atelier Commerce is a full-service digital agency servicing luxury, fashion, and home brands in the ecommerce space. Their offerings range from web design and development to digital marketing and bespoke operations.

THE CHALLENGES

The automotive industry historically offers a wide range of products and SKUs, presenting several challenges in delivering a seamless online experience. And with parts that fit multiple products and manufacturers, finding the right products proved a cumbersome task for UTV Source shoppers.

In fact, it was nearly impossible to narrow down results to fit a shopper’s exact needs, leaving customers unsure of part compatibility and less likely to convert. UTV Source’s current ecommerce platform lacked the flexibility they needed, including the ability to offer custom filter options. It also hindered their internal team’s ability to easily merchandise the site.

In addition to a more powerful on-site search and streamlined navigation, UTV Source was also looking for a solution that allowed them to arrange products in a way that made sense for their business and customers. They also desired a personalization tool that could display relevant product recommendations and improve the overall experience.

THE SOLUTIONS

Having worked with Searchspring on prior projects, Atelier Commerce knew it was the right solution for UTV Source. Atelier Commerce was confident the addition to the retailer’s tech stack would not only level up the user experience but drive more conversions.

With Searchspring integrated, UTV Source was able to get the right products in front of the right customers with optimized search, merchandising, and personalization. Searchspring’s robust Merchandising Suite meant their internal team could now curate collections more efficiently.

They leveraged boost rules to automatically promote products such as brand and specific part accessories. Product pinning also allowed them to control the exact layout of their category and search pages, helping shoppers find best-selling products even faster. They streamlined the search experience on-site by adding custom filter options like ‘parts categories’, ‘brand’, and ‘vehicle’. This ensured that shoppers looking for specific products could find them much more quickly and easily.

UTV Source also added inline banners to advertise products, promotions, and relevant content as shoppers scrolled the site. Taking shopper engagement a step further, the retailer implemented personalized recommendations such as ‘you may also like’ and ‘customers also viewed’, creating the best possible experience for their shoppers.

THE RESULTS

Since implementing Searchspring, UTV Source has experienced a significant increase in search usage on their online store, as well as a boost in revenue attributed to site search.
