A Wednesday “Happy Thanksgiving”

There is some obligatory ‘we must send an email’, so rather than send one on Thursday, I thought I would wish you a happy Thanksgiving today.

I am sure you are going to get a bunch of generic “Happy Thanksgiving” emails on Thursday, they won’t be personalized and they will flood your inbox and you will just delete them.

There is some obligatory ‘we must send an email’, so rather than send one on Thursday, I thought I would wish you a happy Thanksgiving today.

Having been in ecommerce longer than many, I am all too familiar with the next few weeks and the angst that comes with it. While the market has shifted, and sales have started earlier, customers still expect deals. We have trained them over the years to expect a Friday sale and an even bigger one Monday online. Then there is green Monday and the last free shipping day, all ending somewhere around December 20th with the golden timing of Christmas on a weekend.

So, hunker down, enjoy your Turkey and best of luck to everyone that relies on the next three weeks. Those in B2B or industrial, bask in the glory of never having to worry about the mad rush.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Peter
