Searchspring Strengthens Leadership Team with Strategic Hires to Bolster eCommerce Search and Merchandising Platform

The company’s four leadership hires bring notable experience from the technology and ecommerce space and will serve in key strategic roles across marketing, sales, technology, customer success and strategy

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Feb. 19, 2020 –Searchspring, a provider of intelligent site search and merchandising solutions for a new generation of online retailers, today announced it has appointed four industry veterans to serve in key leadership roles across the company. These appointments include Dave Lozano as VP of Sales, JoAnn Martin as VP of Marketing, Dori Salisbury as VP of Customer Success and Strategy, and Will Warren as Chief Technology Officer.

With decades of combined experience, the Searchspring leadership team will drive the company’s strategy to provide online merchandisers with the necessary tools to control conversion and customer acquisition. Searchspring’s newly appointed executive team includes:

Dave Lozano, VP of Sales
After earning his BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Point, Dave served in the U.S. Army for ten years in Infantry and Special Forces assignments. Dave spent three years in crisis management consulting, followed by a six-year tenure at Rackspace where he served as senior director of the company’s Strategic Deal Center, working across all functions and geographies of the business to close the company’s largest deals. Dave earned his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

JoAnn Martin, VP of Marketing 
JoAnn has held leadership roles at a variety of emerging and growth-stage SaaS companies, most recently Hanzo and Provenir, where she focused on developing unique identity and positioning while building high-performing teams. From experience in the venture agency space and consulting for the Microsoft Incubation team, JoAnn brings a focus on community building and accelerated growth. 

Dori Salisbury, VP of Customer Success & Strategy
Dori brings over 25 years of experience in Customer Relationship Management and a proven track record of process development, revenue growth and customer retention. Having worked  across private equity, venture capital and public companies, Dori brings a wide range of organizational experience. She enjoys building businesses while providing outstanding service, support and value to customers. Dori received a MIS degree from Bowling Green State University.

Will Warren, Chief Technology Officer
Will brings 30 years of experience in building software to the Searchspring team. He previously worked at Endeca Technologies and was Co-founder and CTO of GroupBy Inc. – both of which have equipped him with extensive knowledge of eCommerce search, merchandising and faceted navigation. Will grew up in the U.K. and studied Computer Science at Lancaster University. He is also an executive contributor to Battlesnake, a platform that brings developers of all skill levels together to write AI snake bots and do battle online. 

In addition to the cohort of new hires, Searchspring has promoted from within to bring dedicated focus to implementations and the partnership channel. James Bathgate, employee number one at Searchspring, has been promoted into a newly created VP of Implementations position where he will bring strategic development and efficiency to the customer onboarding experience. Chantele Gibson, with 8 years tenure at Searchspring, is stepping into the VP of Strategic Partnerships role to support the growth of strategic agency, technology, and platform partners.

Searchspring recently announced a merger with Nextopia, a Toronto-based global provider of ecommerce site search and navigation solutions. The two companies, both acquired under the Scaleworks portfolio in 2019, will merge under the Searchspring name with its new headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
