The Journey to Athos Commerce
In January 2025, Searchspring joined forces with Klevu and Intelligent Reach to create Athos Commerce, a new leader in AI-powered search, personalization, merchandising, and omnichannel product discovery.
Athos Commerce will elevate ecommerce by offering a comprehensive, unified platform with the seamless front-end integration of Searchspring’s robust search, merchandising, personalization, and analytics tools, along with Klevu’s advanced AI search and Intelligent Reach’s product feed management.
What This Means for Searchspring Customers
We understand that changes bring questions, and we want to assure our partners and customers that we are committed to a smooth, low-touch transition. Here’s what you can expect:
- Continued Stability: All current Searchspring features will remain available and any bug fixes will be addressed as high priority.
- Smooth Upgrade Path: We are working hard to ensure that upgrading to the Athos platform will require minimal effort, with clear roadmaps and timelines so customers can upgrade at their convenience. While we are building this platform, we will keep development integration time and ease in mind.

The Upgrade Process
The Athos platform will combine the best features of Searchspring, Klevu, and Intelligent Reach, ensuring a modern, AI-driven solution with increased performance, deeper personalization, enhanced analytics, and omnichannel social commerce connectivity.
With technology advancing at a rapid pace, the new Athos platform will provide the most advanced solution on the market today. We will provide our partners and customers with a roadmap and dates when upgrades to the new Athos platform are available so they can determine the optimal time for the upgrade.
Here’s what the upgrade path looks like:
- Searchspring Continues as Normal
- Existing customers can keep using Searchspring with no disruption.
- New feature launches, support, bug fixes, and maintenance will continue normally.
- If your contract with Searchspring is up for renewal soon, please go ahead and renew. The features you use and rely on will be there when you’re ready to upgrade to our new Athos platform.
- Athos Early Access Launch (From Q2)
- Select customers will be invited to test the first version of the unified platform.
- Agencies and partners will be provided with detailed technical documentation and support on upgrading.
- Athos General Availability Launch (End Q3 2025)
- We will begin rolling out the new Athos platform to customers in Q3.
- Q4 2025 and Beyond
- Customers can choose when they want to upgrade to Athos.
- Automated upgrade paths will be provided wherever possible.
